September 2024 Board Meeting

-Present: Karen, Ryan, Laura, Mary, and Daina.

-Absent: Rick Read

-Meeting started 6:57pm

-Pool deck company is still putting us off with excuses. Karen will contact them tomorrow and mention the lawyer to see if that will speed things up.

-No news on doctor bills from child injured in pool area.

-Two-year director position to replace Rebel is still open, and Laura said Doc is willing to fill in until the end of the year when the position comes up for re-election. Laura will talk to Doc about what Karen would need him to do and see if he is able.

-Website is up and running! We are in compliance with Florida law. Meeting dates and times are posted for the next year.

-Frontier contractors have broken many waterlines during their installation. It affected our toilets and washing machines with sediment, leading to us needing a plumber to come out. Karen is trying to get Frontier to cover the plumbing expenses, as it is the fault of their employees.

-The outside bathroom doors are in poor condition. The framework is falling apart also. If we have new doors installed that open outward, we could install automatic closing arms to help with keeping the doors closed.

-New pool hours are 8am-7pm.

-We have had issues with soccer balls in the pool area, and a notice has been posted on the Facebook page that no hard balls are allowed in the pool area.

-Financials from last month were presented, voted on, and approved.

-Minutes from last month were read, voted on, and approved.

-240 hotdogs in freezer that need to be used up before they go bad.

-Karent asked Ryan if he needs to take a year sabbatical to heal his back, but he thinks he will be continually improving, and it shouldn’t be an issue to continue to serve on the board.
