-Cipoth house which owes $7545 in back assessments was served notice of pending foreclosure came into office crying about his wife’s health problems and financial struggles. He asked that we allow him to make a payment plan to avoid foreclosure. Our lawyer advised us that it is probably in our best interest to collect whatever we can as we won’t be high on the list of people owed if the property does go into foreclosure. The board voted to accept a payment arrangement of $100/week, but if he defaults then foreclosure will proceed as planned. He will be made to sign a contract agreeing to such. Vote was unanimous.
-Meeting minutes from last month were read. Motion to pass was voted on and accepted.
-Financials from the last month were presented. Motion to pass was voted on and accepted.
-Pool company recommends an arm for the gate to stop it from opening too far.
-We also need to fill in an area under the fence that eroded. It’s a big enough opening a child could fit through.
-The remaining chain link portion of fencing will need to be removed and scrapped.
-Karen wants to continue our tradition of hosting a 4th of July party. Residents can bring a dish to pass and we will have a best dessert contest. We could rent a popcorn machine again.
-There was concern we could be held liable for injury during fireworks that residents set off, so party will be held earlier in the day.
-Needle was found by the pool, but no one could be seen with it on camera, so we are unsure as to how it got there and what it was used for.
-One of the future projects is either replacing the existing pool house with a newly built block building or utilizing a covered system and not having a pool house at all. Both options will be looked into more toward the fall.
-Meeting adjourned 7:26pm.
